Students at Sharjah American International Schools thrive in a dynamic, supportive, and innovative learning community. Each division provides dedicated supervisors who oversee and support every student's wellbeing. Both staff and students embrace the school values as their collective right and responsibility to themselves and others. The school rules document clearly outlines how staff and parents can effectively support students' social and emotional development.
Our school maintains a dedicated clinic area staffed by a licensed doctor and two qualified nurses, in accordance with Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) requirements. Medical personnel are available throughout school hours to provide immediate assistance and support for any student health concerns.
When a student visits the clinic, our medical staff thoroughly assess the situation and determine appropriate treatment based on professional medical judgment. For minor issues, students receive care and return to class promptly. In cases of moderate or severe concerns, the doctor coordinates with school leadership to contact families and establish the best course of action for the student's wellbeing.
To ensure your child receives appropriate care, please provide the Supervisor and teacher with comprehensive information about your child's medical history and any special circumstances requiring accommodation or awareness.
As part of our health education initiative, students regularly participate in workshops and assemblies conducted by trained health professionals. These sessions promote awareness and teach lifelong health practices that benefit our students beyond their school years.
Parents are essential partners in our educational community. We actively encourage and value parent engagement in their children's learning and school life. As key stakeholders, parents contribute constructively to our holistic education approach, helping to create successful learning experiences for all students.
Students achieve their highest potential—academically, socially, and emotionally—when we establish a strong, positive partnership between school, student, and parent.
We provide multiple opportunities for parent involvement:
Formal Parent-Teacher Meetings (twice per semester)
Teacher conferences by appointment as needed
Learning and cultural celebrations throughout the academic year
Islamic, UAE, and international cultural observances
Academic showcases and exhibitions
Our school community thrives on these collaborative relationships, creating a supportive environment where every student can excel.
Our air-conditioned school cafeteria is operated by a registered food and nutrition company that adheres to strict regulations established by:
· Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA)
· Dubai Municipality
We provide students with high-quality, nutritious food options that fully comply with Islamic dietary requirements. The menu is refreshed annually, incorporating student suggestions whenever possible to ensure both nutritional excellence and student satisfaction.

Families have convenient options for purchasing school supplies:
Through our school bookstore at discounted rates
From external retailers of their choice
We provide a comprehensive booklist annually that details all necessary equipment for the academic year. Students can replace items at the school bookstore throughout the year as needed.

All students from KG1 through Grade 12 wear the SAIS-Dubai uniform, which supports our learning-focused environment and reinforces our core values of compassion, excellence, integrity, respect, and responsibility.
Our uniform is thoughtfully designed to respect the cultural context of the United Arab Emirates while promoting personal respect and responsibility among our students.
SAIS-Dubai maintains two official uniforms:
Standard daily school uniform
Physical Education (PE) uniform, worn on days when students have PE classes
All uniform garments conform to our division-specific dress code policies.

Afternoon boarding will be organized by drop-off sequence, with students who exit first boarding last and sitting in front seats.
All buses undergo regular cleaning and sanitization procedures.
Detailed attendance records will be maintained for all bus riders, with absences promptly reported to school administration. Live monitoring systems will be active on all buses.
